On September 5, FEMA approved a one-week extension of the deadline for critical needs assistance for eligible survivors who have immediate or critical needs because they are displaced from their primary dwelling. To be considered for this assistance survivors must register with FEMA no later than September 12th.
Survivors may apply for disaster assistance: online at www.disasterassistance.gov ; by downloading the FEMA app to a smartphones or tablet; or by calling the FEMA Helpline at 800-621-3362 (TTY 800-462-7585).
