Repopulation of Evacuated Areas Begins – 08/27/2020

Posted on August 27, 2020

Solano County is beginning to repopulate evacuated areas in phases and will begin with Phase 1 as shown on the map today from 8:00 A.M. – 5:00 P.M. Please read all the information below, as you will be required to do some things before you can return home. A map of the area to be reopened is attached.

***INSTRUCTIONS TO RETURNING RESIDENTS***
To return to your home, you must first check in at the Re-Entry Center at The Mission Church at 6391 Leisure Town Road in Vacaville. You will need to provide some form of proof of residency for the affected area. Some examples include a driver’s license, car registration, or a utility bill. If you do not have any proof that you live there, you can still be helped, but it may take a little longer. Remember, only the area currently allowing re-entry will be helped at this time. You will also be asked to provide a phone number and address for future contact about recovery. If your home or property was damaged or destroyed, we are sorry for your loss and the County has resources available for you on our recovery website, www.SolanoCountyRecovers.org. We will continue to add resources and information to the website as they become available.

We will ask you for a phone number and a PO Box, relative’s address or any other physical place where we can send mail to assist you with recovery.

  • This phase will include the area west of Interstate 80 from Lyon Road to, and including, Vaca Valley Road. Gates Canyon Road will remain closed.
  • Due to road damage, continuous falling trees, and utility work in close quarters, the following roads will remain closed until further notice:
      • Gates Canyon Road
      • Mix Canyon Road
      • Blue Ridge Road
      • Cantelow Road from Pleasants Valley Road to English Hills Road
      • Pleasants Valley Road from Shale Peak Lane to Quail Canyon Road

Our goal is to get everyone back to their homes in a safe and orderly manner. We know there will be hiccups along the way, and we want to make this as smooth as possible.
