What is CalWORKs?
CalWORKs is a public assistance program that provides cash aid and services to eligible families that have a child(ren) in the home. If a family has little or no cash and needs housing, food, utilities, clothing or medical care, they may be eligible to receive immediate short-term help. Families that apply and qualify for ongoing assistance receive money each month to help pay for housing, food and other necessary expenses.
What is CalFresh?
CalFresh is California's food stamps (SNAP) program, and is for people with low-income who meet federal income eligibility rules and want to add to their budget to put healthy and nutritious food on the table.

What is Medi-Cal?
Medi-Cal is California's Medicaid health care program. This program pays for a variety of medical services for children and adults with limited income and resources.
